“Fashion is very important. It is life-enhancing and, like everything that gives pleasure, it is worth doing well.” – Vivienne Westwood
T-shirts can be thought of as canvases, since they are really easy to make, and don’t stand out by themselves. This makes them a brilliant outlet for creativity, and an excellent way to advertise your personality.

A designer yourself, you can undoubtedly appreciate a cool, clever and funny design on a T-shirt. More so, you might also want to own that T-shirt and wear it. So we have browsed around on the internet, and made a list of some of the best T-shirt designs we think are out there. Who knows? Maybe these threads are just the design inspiration you need.
The colors in this design are as flat as the gag. Therein lies the humor of this really cool design. The bull looks rather angry and prepared to charge, but it’s comically drawn and creates a nice little discrepancy between the message and the delivery.
2. Despicable Jawas
The similarities between the minions in “Despicable Me” and the Jawas from “Star Wars” were cleverly noticed by the designers of this really cool T-shirt. Both are inquisitive, technically-inclined comical characters, so mixing the two universes is pure comic gold.
3. Wild Beast
Since wild animals are incapable of what we humans call “rational thought”, you would think that our laws can not apply to them. But once you take the “wild” part out of “wild animal”, that means that the creatures should be held responsible for their acts. You can’t just go around being all anti-social and not expect repercussions.
4. Loch Ness Imposter
It has been over a century since Loch Ness has been attracting hopefuls who want to see the lake’s infamous monster, Nessie. Although many of the sightings have been disclaimed as being driftwood, boats, snakes or even elephants, they have found any conclusive proof that the Loch Ness Monster is not, in fact, a kraken with an inclination for mischief.
5. Intellectual Badass
Just because you have been known to ruff people up and not take any none-sense from anyone, doesn’t make your political or cultural views any less pertinent. It’s just that when people are wrong, you make sure that they are viscerally aware of how wrong they are. This design could maybe help you maintain your debates at a much more civil level.
6. Portal Bird
If you haven’t played Portal yet, then we strongly suggest that you go do that right this very instant. Although no Portal reference can be quite as funny as the game itself, we’ll take any we can get our hands on.
7. The Communist Party
Many would have you believe that the Communist party are a bunch of stuck-up, old men that hate the youth’s vigor and lust for life, so they want to establish a totalitarian rule over the population, strictly limiting the amount of fun people can have. This T-shirt would have you know otherwise.
8. White Unicorn Shark
What the Earth’s waters is truly lacking is more unicorn themed animals. Sure, you have the narwhal, which is a perfectly majestic beast, but it just doesn’t have that element of danger you are looking for in marine life. Now a Great White Unicorn, that’s the kind of animal we’re talking about. Add an underwater rainbow, and maybe that’s what Heaven is.
What kind of world would this be without stories? A sadder and more serious world, and that is not the kind of world anyone wants to live in. To remind everyone just how ubiquitous they are, this design has them all, ranging from Frankenstein and Dracula, to Hamlet and The Three Musketeers.
10. Mmm… Donuts
When he wasn’t pressing buttons in a nuclear power plant, Homer found time to write such iconic works of literature as “The Iliad” or “The Odyssey”. What few people know about this famous Greek poet is that he also nurtured a fantastic love for a rather unlikely type of food: donuts.
11. Dem Buttocks
Vikings were hard people that led hard lives. Foreign lands don’t just plunder themselves, so in Viking society there was no room for sensible and poetic analysis of feminine beauty. What you get here is, essentially, a rather faithful translation of a well known Middle Ages Scandinavian ballad.
12. Dino Hug
Dinosaurs have a bad reputation. We think of them as mindless, fearsome behemoths that roamed the land, constantly trying to eat each other. The fact of the matter is that, like all of us, they did sometimes feel the need to show affection; to reach out and connect. Unfortunately, connecting is hard when your arms are smaller than your head.
13. Walking Monty
Thinking of the iconic “King Arthur vs. The Black Knight” scene in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, never in a thousand years would we have seen how to transform it into a “Walking Dead” reference, but now that we see it, it’s all there. The forest, dismemberment, over-the-top gore. This is one sophisticated shout-out to two very cool cult classics.
14. Houdini Keg Stand
Out of all the daring escapology tricks the great Harry Houdini ever pulled off, none can hold a candle to the, frankly overlooked, keg stand. Anyone who has ever attempted a keg stand, can tell you just what a perilous feat this is, and will get anyone watching, on the edge of their seat.
Not contempt with an ordinary keg stand, Houdini would do it while wearing a straight jacket, adding an extra element of danger to what already was a life-threatening act.
15. Not a Lie
This one pretty much speaks for itself.
16. Work of the Genius
You wouldn’t look twice at the Bob-ombs in Mario, but once you think about it, they are a true marvel of military engineering. Finely tuned assault and defense machines, created for causing maximum damage in the enemy’s ranks, and minimal in your own.
Unbeknownst to many people, Leonardo Da Vinci sketched such machines, and it wouldn’t surprise us if these automated, mobile explosive devices were something his mind hatched.
17. The Dude
The Dude would definitely abide this totally awesome design. It has all the essential elements, meaning the carpet, the bowling balls & pins, and the ever-important White Russian.
18. Mass Quantities of Code
See, rock stars think they have a dangerous life-style, what with all their substance abuse, fast cars and general rebel way of being and hedonistic, sometimes bordering on nihilistic, approach to life. What no rock star has ever tried doing, though, is programming.
Even though the paparazzi don’t carefully document every sleepless night of programing they -the programmers- have, doesn’t mean it’s any less stressful than living the vicarious life of a decadent guitarist in a band.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. What you’re seeing here is a scene from the unedited version of L. Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”. In this version, Scarecrow sadly didn’t make it, because the yellow-brick road didn’t go where it was suppose to.
You’re probably as tired as we are of the “Che” T-shirts everyone is wearing. It’s a fad that thankfully is well on it’s way out, and to send it off, you can wear this commemorative T-shirt that expresses just how “sorry” you are that you won’t be seeing the Cuban revolutionary’s face on clothes ever again.
That about raps up our list of funny T-shirt designs. It was great “window shopping” them for the list, so we hope you’ll enjoy browsing them. Share your favorites, or any ones you think we should know about, in the comment section below.
