Photoshop Text Effects Resources – Tutorials and Free Graphics!

Today I’ve prepared for you another type of design resources. I know we usually draw inspiration from different themed vector illustrations, but what do you say we mix it up and take a look at some awesome Photoshop text effects? They’re something every designer needs and it’s good to acquire new skills in this department every chance you get.

I’ve mainly rounded up some tutorials, but I’ve also added some free text graphics to make your job a lot easier. I hope you will like what you see and find these styles as interesting as I did. Let’s get started!

Because winter doesn’t seem to be loosing its grip on us any time soon, we’re going to start with a tutorial on how to create an awesome snow effect. Needless to say this will make any design look… cool.

Next, I have for you guys a tutorial with liquid effects – a style just dripping with awesomeness and some splats to complete the picture.

As you are probably beginning to observe, the elements from the text effects are kind of linked together. Next on the list of primal natural elements is fire, so we’re going to heat things up and learn how to create a burning text with a glossy reflection.

To make sure you don’t get bored, I’ve also prepared a spiky metal text effect tutorial. If this isn’t the first article you’ve read on Inspirationmix, you probably know I’m a fan of grunge styles. I hope you like it too.

Next, a tutorial on how to create a fuzzy or furry text effect. This requires Photoshop knowledge at a basic level, but trust me, it’s worth it.

Let’s try something a bit more complicated next, what do you say? This particular tutorial requires that you use the new CS5 version of Adobe Photoshop and the Puppet Warp tool from it. Oh, I forget to mention it teaches you some swirly awesomeness  – a rope text effect.
