Dragos Bardac – A Talented Visual Artist
Dragos Bardac is a talented visual artist from Bucharest, Romania. Dragos loved to take photos since he was a child, when he used to take photos of everything, exploring every little detail. He said photography took him a step closer to cinematography, the art of moving pictures.
I came across his project, a stop motion music video he created, full of color, imagination, with an interesting story behind it and I thought I’d share it with you, among other projects of his.
Stop Motion Music Video “Life Buoy” (2010) is Bardac‘s degree project at the National University of Artist from Bucharest. He created this film in 2010 and it is a music video for “Life Buoy” by “The Pixels”. Dragos used a mix of stop motion animation techniques in order to tell its story.

What Flower (2009)
In 2008, Dragos and two of his friends (Radu Oprea and Ovidiu Naclad) started a project in their spare time called cakebreak which is an iPhone development team that specializes in creating friendly and very useful applications. After discussing a series of ideas, What Flower was an idea that moved on from the project phase and turned into a fully working application they are really proud of. Dragos was responsible for its visual aspect.
What Flower is an application that helps you choose the right type of flower for a specified occasion and discover its hidden meanings. You can find this application at the iTunes AppStore or if you want to get a feel of its bigger brother, you can try the free version, What Flower Lite, which has all the functionalities of the full application, but with only 21 flowers, instead of 250+.
Identity and Design
Besides working on videos, stop motion animations and applications, Dragos also worked on some design projects. He created the identity, design and all the communication materials for various clients.
