It is no secret that lists help us organize our priorities. We enjoy reading them, and we enjoy writing them, and they make life easier by giving us a direction and objectives. But, as Adam Savage states in the quote above, making lists can be daunting. What seemed at first to be a fairly straight forward project or plan suddenly transforms into a behemoth of a task, spanning several steps. This should not bring you down, though.

Needless to say, Twitter is a behemoth of a website, with over 500 million registered users, generating a huge amount of new content each day (over 340 million new tweets daily). Anyone who is anyone has a Twitter profile, and that makes it a great way to get information directly from the people you are interested in. As a designer, social networking is something you can really benefit from, as you have no doubt noticed.

Ah, the landscape! For many of us, it’s the first thing we draw as children and it still holds its grip upon us when we grow up. Is it any surprise that many of the worlds’ greatest works of visual art are landscapes? Be they painted, drawn or photographed, landscapes hold a huge place in our cultural tableau. The landscape holds a certain mystique that is impossible to ignore. It’s like a calling. The same calling that once used to excite cartographers and explorers.

The Olympics are one of the most celebrated events in the world, and for good reason. Every four years, we get to watch this huge competition where athletes from all around the world come and give their best. It’s one of the most inspirational moments many of us ever get to see. Well, we did say four years before, but it’s really just two, isn’t it? Every second year we get a type of Olympic game, be it the Winter Olympics or the Summer Olympics, alternatively.
