An Inspiring Exhibition : Can Graphic Design Save Your Life?

Graphic design and healthcare seem to be one of the most valuable partnership since always. Can Graphic Design Save Your Life? is a new exhibition in London’s Wellcome Collection concern about healthcare. The exhibition is curated by Lucienne Roberts and Rebecca Wright along with staff from the Wellcome Collection itself.

This project aims at giving visual explanation of disease and pharmaceutical products, opens until February 14 next year. There are over 200 posters, signs, teaching aids and more, communicating healthcare messages around the world. This exhibition also explore the persuasive strategies used in health campaigns over decades.

Moreover, this exhibition shows how graphic design is useful to modify hospital experience as to get rid of its unpleasant atmosphere. Last but not least, this exhibition also considers how graphic designers deliver clear healthcare instructions. How carefully designed color coding systems, written instructions and pill packaging are useful to a better health service.
