“You can be watching TV and see Coca-Cola, and you know that the President drinks Coke, Liz Taylor drinks Coke, and just think, you can drink Coke, too. A Coke is a Coke and no amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking. All the Cokes are the same and all the Cokes are good. Liz Taylor knows it, the President knows it, the bum knows it, and you know it.”

– Andy Warhol

Prasad Bhat, a digital artist based in India, is a wonderful creative person that chose to draw famous TV and movie characters in a caricature way. He did an impressive job with his unique cartoonish style. He created art work based on the main characters of Game of Thrones, True Detective, Sherlock, Reservoir Dogs, James Bond, Breaking Bad and many others. Prasad Bhat is also the owner, and founder of GraphiCurry – “his company is the brainchild of Prasad Bhat, who grew up with inherent skills of drawing and eating food.

1. Robin Williams

“Grief demands for answers but there are none, and it gets harder not to look for reasons, as you grow older. Questions to life add up. Especially when someone who inspires you so much decides to leave you and go. RIP Robin Williams.Hope to see on the other side, if there is an “other” side to this.” A beautiful homage addressed to Robin Williams. I have no words when talking about this huge actor, this incredible human being. An idol of mine since my childhood. Rest in Peace.

2. True Detective

Remember the time when Matthew McConaughey used to make only romantic comedies? And horrible action movies? Well, we hope to leave that all behind us. For some time now, since 2011 when “Lincoln Lawyer” came out, Matthew chose to stop sucking at acting and be great all of a sudden. I remember being dragged to the movies by my friends, and every part of my body said “NO! No more MachonaHEY torture.” only to be proven wrong. If you are like my 3 years ago, I urge you to take a leap of faith and go see “True Detective”. It’s incredible. One of the best TV shows I have seen in the past decade. It tells the story of two detectives, and their search for truth. I’m not going to include no spoilers here, because of reasons.

3. Reservoir Dogs

“Reservoir Dogs” is Tarantino’s first movie. Who would’ve thought that his debut will be so outstanding? I’ve seen the movie a dozen times by now, and it never gets old. “Six criminals, who are strangers to each other, are hired by a crime boss, Joe Cabot, to carry out a diamond robbery. Right at the outset, they are given false names with the intention that they won’t get too close and will concentrate on the job instead.

They are completely sure that the robbery is going to be a success. But, when the police show up right at the time and the site of the robbery, panic spreads amongst the group members, and one of them is killed in the subsequent shootout, along with a few policemen and civilians. When the remaining people assemble at the premeditated rendezvous point (a warehouse), they begin to suspect that one of them is an undercover cop. “

4. Game of Thrones

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past 4 years or so, you must know the hit TV series brought to us by HBO, and of course George R.R. Martin. “Game of Thrones” tells the story of the people of Westeros and Esos. Crime, punishment, loyalty, betrayal, and death at every corner. Did I forget to mention dragons? Yeah, it has dragons. What can you want more from a fantasy show?

5. Breaking Bad

It’s Walter White, from Breaking Bad, or lets call him Walter Blue. Brian Cranston’s portrayal of a wooshigh school teacher turned into a drug overlord is phenomenal. It’s one of the best TV shows I have watched, or to say I have binged watched. I caught up with the series when they were at season 4. I fallen in love after the first episode and I just had to get up to date in a week. Vince Gilligan and his twisted mind – you just can’t wrap your head around it. You will be amazed how this show is an emotional rollercoaster. You will tend to root for the evil characters from the show, and you will end up realizing how much you love bad boys. C’est la vie!

6. Django Unchained

“Totally loved this amazing western/southern style cinema created by Quentin Tarantino. He really knows how to work his magic with lights, colors and script. So my impression of this masterpiece had to be done.Hope you like it.” Another one from the masterful director, and writer Quentin Tarantino. Did you know that the scene when Dicaprio cut his hand? He really did cut his hand, and managed to stay in character and finish the scene. He didn’t even got an Oscar for that one. Such a shame.

We loved Prasad Bhat’s illustrations, and hopefully you liked them too. If you have anything to add, or just wish to say “Hello”, please do so by posting in the comments section bellow. We would love to hear from you!
