Los Angeles is one of the most iconic US cities there is. It is the home of Hollywood, sandy beaches, famous recording studios, and the place where all kinds of aspiring artists go to live in poverty before making it big, and moving to Beverly Hills (or not making it big, and not moving to Beverly Hills). In today’s article, I will be showing a few amazing pictures of Los Angeles, done by photographer Dan Marker-Moore.

It doesn’t matter that you are a beginner, intermediate or an expert in Photoshop. Learning new tips and tricks is always welcome. Growing as a creative professional is a tough job, but you can do it one step at a time. You won’t become a guru of Photoshop just by learning tips and tricks, you need to practice it every day, but they sure do help a lot on the way.

Jonas De Ro is a London based Belgian concept artist that was born and raised in Gent, a small Flemish city. In 2009 he graduated his masters program in traditional animation from the Royal Academy in Fine Arts but he chose not to pursue a career in this field, choosing instead to work as a texture photographer, providing various game and film studios around the world with his work.

Artists famous for painting and drawing portraits figured out a ton about composition, form, shape, shadow, and framing well before the camera ever made it big. The conventions they originated, back when spending months on a single portrait was the most efficient way to capture someone in the flesh, are conventions that still surface in photography today, many of which initially originated in paintings.

Rolling hills covered in long blades of green grass that bend with the wind stretch out beyond the horizon, a river eases itself between them and empties into a small lake… Words provide a description, but a great landscape photograph brings the image to life with all the energy, vibrancy and awe of being there.
